Just 20 miles from the heart of downtown Phoenix, Litchfield Park is considered the historic heart of the southwest valley. One of Arizona’s first golf resorts, the Wigwam Golf Resort and Spa, is located within the city. It was originally established in 1918 as a resort for visiting executives from the Goodyear Tire Company and some of the original structures, including The Organization House, remain as cornerstones of the resort. Along with history, you can also walk on the wild side in Litchfield Park. Wildlife World Zoo, Aquarium, and Safari Park is also located within the boundaries of Litchfield Park. The park houses Arizona’s largest collection of exotic and endangered animals, including over 600 different animal species!
